In 19th century Ireland, a confident English aristocrat, Agnes McDonnell (Greta Scacchi - Brideshead Revisited), meets the younger, strong-willed James Lynchehaun (Daniel Craig – Casino Royale), whom she hires to be the manger of her lavish estate.
