Mongkok, one of the most densely populated areas in the world, is the hotbed of illicit business. A rivalry between two main triads set off because of their illegal deals. Roy (Daneil Wu) is hired to eliminate one of the triad heads.
He saves prostitute Dan (Cecilia Cheung), who also comes from his home village and temporarily works for easy money, from the hands of gangsters in a coincidence. The arrival of Roy tenses the police and the triad. Under flashy neon lights, Roy and Dan are rummaged around in Mongkok by police and gangsters.
