WINTER AT WESTBETH SCHEDULED FOR SPECIAL EVENT SCREENINGS Featuring at selected cinemas nationally on February 8th and 12th

Vendetta Films is thrilled to announce a series of exclusive special event screenings of the heart-warming documentary Winter at Westbeth at selected Event Cinemas on Wednesday, February 8th.

From celebrated Australian Director Rohan Spong (All the Way Through Evening, When Darkness Falls), this uplifting and life-affirming documentary has been filmed across one year in an extraordinary New York artist housing project known as Westbeth.

Over the year, video artist Edith Stephen (95) hopes to complete an experimental film for her birthday; dancer Dudley Williams (75) rehearses for an electrifying return to the stage; and published poet Ilsa Gilbert (82) faces her impending mortality with revealingly candid poetry.

As winter descends upon Westbeth, the long-term inhabitants of this unique community continue to draw meaning and vitality from many varied artistic outlets, inspiring both themselves and others in the process.

Documenting powerful statements shouted from rooftops, moving dance performances and the reasons for wearing green eyeshadow, Winter at Westbeth is an inspirational story about community, ageing and the power of creativity.
